My next overseas trip is about to begin and my blog is resurrected for that purpose. After a week or so on the Eastern seaboard of the U.S., I'm now at JFK waiting for our flight to Iceland. I'm traveling this time with Lilian, a fellow ballperson from my days at the U.S. Open. This will be my second trip to Iceland. I was there five years or so ago when we tried to travel through Iceland to escape the ash cloud of the volcano with the unpronouncable name. That didn't work out when the winds changed and we ended up having a few days to explore the area around Reykjavik, the capital. This time, the plan us to drive around the island on the Ring Road. I'm a little worried that it'll be cold -- one of my first purchases will be an Icelandic sweater.
